What after the world

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

In the name of Allah the most Beneficent the most Merciful

Translation:

What after the world cup?

Peace be upon you

Guys, you followed the world cup the last days. We're not going to comment on the past, nor on how important or unimportant the world cup is. I'm not going to blame or criticise anyone. Rather, a message for the future.

Is it not time for us to change from followers to active, effective doers. As followers no matter what we do we cannot change the course of the tournament. To (become) soldiers of Allah who by putting our trust in him can change the course of history.

A player raised the world cup trophy so some of us clapped in joy. Is it not time for us to work so that we can raise our books on the Day of Resurrection with pride and say,

{...take! Read my record! Surely, I did believe that I shall meet my account!} Al-Haqqa 69.19-20

So that his reward may be,

{So he shall be in a life, well-pleasing. In a lofty Paradise, the fruits in bunches whereof will be low and near at hand. Eat and drink at ease for that which you have sent on before you in days past!} Al-Haqqa 69.21-24

I ask you in the name of Allah, look at the difference between these words and 'my team won'. So your team won. So what? What's the next step? What after that?

Honestly, I like sport. I practice sport myself and I like football, even if I'm honestly not very good at it. But I play for exercise and then I spend most of my time doing beneficial activities.

So all I'm saying to you is this. Is it not time for our interests to increase from watching a ball being kicked around to striving to rectify the globe? That which Allah brought us forth to salvage it's inhabitants.

{You are the best nation produced for mankind....} Aal Imran 3.110

You might tell me that those are big desires and unrealistic.
No! By Allah! If you put your trust in Allah, and work hard and sincerely, you will see blessings from your Lord that you never expected.

Is it not time for us to change from mere followers of a tournament that offers mankind no real benefit, nor alleviates their sufferings, into competitors and participants in the greatest competition. The competition of building this earth with truth and justice, because it's constructors shall live forever in everlasting bliss.

{Race one with another in hastening towards Forgiveness from your Lord (Allah), and towards Paradise, the width whereof is as the width of heaven and earth, prepared for those who believe in Allah and His Messengers...} al-Hadid 57.21

I wish my brother that you would conduct a simple account and ask yourself, how much time did I spend watching the world cup? 10 hours? 20 hours?

Ok. How many hours shall I spend on these great events?

{And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and Paradise as wide as the heavens and earth, prepared for the righteous} Aal Imran 3.133

Come and let us work together in this race with knowledge, preaching and work.

At this point, I would like to take the chance to invite you guys who are between the ages of 11 to 17 to join us for the 'to contemplate its verses' competition. From here all rectification begins, through contemplating Allah's book.

And may the peace and mercy of Allah be upon you.

Farewell to Ramadhan

Yahya bin Muaadh said: The smart individual is not the one whose greatest goal is other than seeking the pardon of Allah. (The smart individual is not the one who) seeks forgiveness with his tongue, while his heart is firmly attached to sin, and he truly intends to return to sin after the completion of Ramadan. This individual’s fast is rejected, and acceptance is closed in his face. Ka’b said: Whoever fasts Ramadan while inwardly saying: Once the month is over, I will disobey Allah; this person’s fasting is rejected. And whoever fasts the month while inwardly saying: Upon completion of the month, I won’t disobey Allah, this person will enter Jannah without questioning or debate. The author further states: Oh servants of Allah, indeed the month of Ramadan has prepared to leave, and nothing remains except a few more days. Whoever has done well during the month should continue to do well, and whoever was deficient, should try to end the month in good, for indee...

Wise saying

"O my dear brother, in this month all faults and mistakes are concealed, all souls and hearts are softened, sins and burdens are forgiven, and Allah `azza wa jall relieves every sad and troubled one. He says to His angels, ‘O My Angels, look at those dry tongues, how they become moist with My remembrance. Look at those hard eyes, how they soften and weep out of fear of Me, and look at those delicate feet planted firmly at the stations of prayer out of desire for Me! O my dear brother, whenever you give food to others in this month for the sake of Allaah, the Lord of the heavens and the earth, you shall be raised to high ranks in the lofty grounds of Paradise, and you will be clothed with complete goodness and stripped of all sin…" Ibn al-Jawzee Rahimahullah Bustan al-Wa’idhin wa Riyadh al-Sami’in’ Pp. 185-186.

Qualities of a preacher of the truth

The preacher of the truth should not flatter the people or seek their pleasure by hiding the truth or by deviating from it. But at the same time he is required to be kind and gentle towards the people while presenting and conveying his message. And he should leave aside any personal interests, so that the people can see that he is not doing this for his own gains but rather for the religion of Allah. At that time even if the most evil creatures and the disbelievers become his enemies, still his Muslim brothers will love him. فحامل الدعوة مطالب ألا يُجامِل فيها ولا يسترضي الناس بكتمها أو الزيغ عنها. لكنه...
